This policy covers the Form Expert app for Shopify and this website.
What we store
From the store (merchant): the store's domain, name, owner email, timezone, plan, the forms you build, notification settings, integration credentials (encrypted at rest) and the app's own settings.
From visitors who submit a form: the answers they enter, uploaded files, their email address when a form asks for it, the page the form was on, referrer and UTM parameters, and a hashed IP address used for rate limiting and spam scoring.
Delivery records: for every notification, integration call and Shopify action we keep the recipient, status, attempt count and the provider's response, so you can see what happened.
Why
To store submissions, deliver notifications to the recipients and integrations you configure, create Shopify records you have enabled (customers, tags, draft orders, Flow triggers), show you the Delivery Log, and enforce plan limits and spam protection.
Where
Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database and object storage operated by ShipMyForm. Notification emails are sent through Cloudflare Email Service. Integrations you connect receive the submission data you route to them and are governed by their own policies.
How long
Submissions are kept for the retention period of your plan (90 days on Free, 365 days on Starter, unlimited on Pro and Scale) and removed automatically after that. Delivery records follow the same period. When you uninstall the app, processing stops immediately and the app's access to your store is removed. Shopify sends a shop redaction request 48 hours after uninstall; on receiving it the app deletes the store's forms, submissions, files and settings. Customer redaction requests from Shopify remove the customer's answers, email and files and keep the submission as a redacted record.
Your rights
Merchants can export submissions at any time and delete individual submissions or whole forms from the app. Requests from your customers to access or erase their data can be fulfilled from the app's Data requests page or by contacting us.
Cookies
The app runs inside the Shopify admin and uses only the session cookie Shopify requires. This website sets no cookies. The support form on this site is processed by ShipMyForm and is used only to answer your ticket.
