Shopify
Registration and approval
Wholesale, trade and membership applications with customer tags and decision emails.
Any form can become an application. The applicant becomes a Shopify customer with a pending tag, waits in Submissions, Applications, and receives an email when you decide. Shopify customer accounts sign in with an email code, so the approval email links to the account page; there are no invite emails to manage.
Available on Pro and Scale.
Set up
- Open the form in the editor, Shopify tab, tick Registration and approval. The Wholesale / B2B application template has it on already.
- Choose the tags: while pending (default
pending-approval), when approved (for examplewholesale) and when declined. Use the approved tag in Shopify for B2B catalogs, price lists, discounts or Flow workflows. - Edit the approval and decline emails. Placeholders:
{{name}},{{ref}},{{shop}},{{account_url}}and any field key such as{{company}}. - Optional: Approve automatically for low-risk sign-ups.
Decide
- Submissions, Applications lists everything awaiting a decision. Tick several and Approve or Decline in bulk, or open one and decide from the banner. A decline can carry a private note.
- Approval swaps the customer's tags and queues the approval email; declining does the same with the decline tag and email. Every email appears in the Delivery Log.
- More actions on a decided application lets you reverse the decision.
- If the customer record could not be created, for example because the app has no customer permission yet, the decision is still recorded and the log says what to fix.
What the applicant sees
Submit, then the form's success message. Later, the approval email with a sign-in link. Tags only change on approval, so pending applicants see nothing special until you decide.
